Vintage Stamps

I ran across this while cleaning out my studio last night. It was a small test for a larger series of collages I wanted to do.

Always fascinated by vintage stamps, I especially love the colors of these.

Hibiscus in a Bucket

We're getting ready to tear all of the plants out of the greenhouse in order to sterilize everything and start the food growing for the winter-over crew. The first thing to go was this huge hibiscus which is now sitting in a bucket in the hallway. I can't bear the thought of them all being thrown away....

Another Shade of Lisbon

Lisbon was so colorful, it was hard to resist shooting in color themes. My favorites of course were the yellows, but there was plenty of vibrant red to go around too... 

Postage Stamps of the Week- Reds & Blues

Some recent finds in reds & blues.  I'm not normally a big fan of the color red but for some reason when it's on paper, particularly old, yellowing paper, I find it really pleasing.  As I do these stamps.  Enjoy!
